Ensemble Nostri Temporis (Kyiv)

Yurii Yaremchuk (Lviv) and Dmytro Radzets’kyi (Kyiv)

Musical performance in honour of the 100th birth anniversary of John Cage (two-hour
programme entitled “MusiCircus”) will be performed by three bands.

In the context of this project, the Nostri Temporis Ensemble will perform the following

Helmut Zapf – “Canto del aria” for Oboe and Sound Recording

Anna Arkushyna – “Sound Cloud” for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Violin and Cello

Maksym Kolomiiets’ – “Empty Pedestals” for Flute, Clarinet, Cello and Piano

Olena Serova – “You Can Feel” for Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Cello and Piano

Oleksii Shmurak – “TV” for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Violin, Cello, Synthesizer and Sound

Bohdan Sehin – “Daedalus” for Flute, Bass Clarinet, Violin and Cello

Zoltan Almasi – “Van Gogh” for Kitchen Utensils

SENZA SFORZANDO will perform the following works:

Vitautas Germanavicius (Lithuania) – “NIDAMANNGRIEG SONATE” for Violin, Cello and

Karmella Tsepkolenko (Ukraine) – “Out of the Blues” for Piano

Nataliia Chernii (Ukraine) – “Melancholia” for Piano, Violin and Cello (2011)

Arvydas Malcys (Lithuania) – “Sloe Eyes” for Violin, Cello and Piano (2004)

Yurii Yaremchuk and Dmytro Radzets’kyi will present their free improvisation:

“It is the combination of two methods – improvisation and composition, inspired by the idea of
John Cage, or the interpretation of his music graphics in combination with free improvisation,
emerging only during performance and associated with a particular place. Instant emotions and
encounter with the object and subject are an attempt to find common ground between the various
methods and personalities, leading to the unknown before sound and mental picture, thus to the
new result”.
