“Vienna is the city of mystery, where music is the main language. Here, it is always full of life-affirming sense. In the XXth century, the search for a new language flushed classic Vienna with creative experiments. A modern, lively and expressive language, which not only soothes the heart, but can take it out of the middle-class balance, was looked for. Thus, the new music was born, and “waltz” Vienna got a new form of intellectual existence. There began an Era of the
New Viennese Ball”.

Myroslava Kotorovych

It is a concert-fantasy on themes of Johann Strauss waltzes, as well as on composers of “Second Viennese School” – Arnold Schoenberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern.
